Don’t Play With Your Food

Don’t Play With Your Food was a personal project in my photography studio course, where I took a creative spin on eating disorders that are more light-hearted and playful on a serious topic. I used colorful foods tied together with a string to create playful, unexpected compositions. The core idea is connection, using the string as a visual thread that unifies the images to a singular issue that many face daily. That same idea could expand into other mediums; on social media, the string could animate across the frame or weave into type or make the shape of a person's stomach or head. In digital, the string could guide the eye across content, and on posters or signage, it could be paired with bold typography or hand-done to tie the message and visuals together. No matter the platform, the mix of food, color, and string keeps it consistent.
